ClassPilot Free Preview Privacy Notice

ClassPilot Free Preview is a pilot classroom productivity tool. Classroom settings and instructional records created through ClassPilot are stored in a Google Sheet created in the signed-in user's Google account. Google account access is governed by the permissions shown on Google's authorization screen.

Data you enter

ClassPilot may store teacher-entered classroom settings, schedules, lesson pacing, instructional closeouts, resource links, school-closure dates, projects, professional items, notes, and saved instructional materials in the teacher's ClassPilot data spreadsheet.

Student roster tool

The local roster used for the random student picker and group maker is designed to stay in that browser's local storage on that device rather than being written to the ClassPilot data spreadsheet. Users can clear the local roster from inside ClassPilot.

AI Materials Studio

When a teacher uses AI Materials Studio with Gemini enabled, ClassPilot sends only the instructional request entered for that material, such as grade, subject, topic, standard, support level, duration, and teacher directions, to the Google Gemini API. ClassPilot does not automatically send the teacher's Notes section or local student roster to Gemini. Do not enter student names, IEP or disability information, medical information, behavior records, or other private student data into AI prompts.

Third-party services

ClassPilot uses Google Apps Script, Google Sheets, and the Google Gemini API for optional AI-generated classroom materials. If a teacher chooses to add a public YouTube school-announcement channel, ClassPilot may request that public source to find recent announcements. Google and YouTube have their own privacy terms and data practices.

Sale of data

ClassPilot Free Preview does not sell user data to advertisers.

Pilot use

This is a preview product intended for testing and feedback. Do not enter passwords, Social Security numbers, medical records, or other highly sensitive information into ClassPilot.
